The forums were moved to a new server last night. Everything seems to have gone smoothly, so forum-goers should notice a significant speed boost.

If you haven't checked out the forums before, I definitely encourage you to visit sometime. They're a great place to discuss your favorite XGen games, along with tips, strategies, and gossip about upcoming games like Motherload.

Hola Amigos and Amigas!

This is Dave, your friendly neighbourhood spider-man, or perhaps man-man, if you will. I'm just popping in to let you know that I, yes, I, am amazed with the progress being made lately. every day something new and exciting is shown to me, and every day I get more and more excited about showing Motherload to every one of our loyal X-Genners. I tell you, this game has already addicted the team members. And we're the ones who're building it!

In other, unchecked hair growth news, SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Life) announced today that it's recieved three of what they consider potential signals from places unknown (ie, aliens!)

Someone has finally created a place where you can send your little brother or sister when they embarass you on the internet! Behold, the Practice Internet, where things are explained and layed out just so.

That's the update for today, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. Please return your seats to their full upright and locked position.

-Dave

Motherload Update

Its an exciting time to be part of the XGenStudios team! A release candidate (beta) for Motherload is just on the horizon, followed by final testing and tweaking.

This Motherload update is all about special items. There are 6 usable items in the game to help you hit the 'Motherload'. This week's images are the 'Quantum Teleporter' and good old fashioned 'Dynamite'.

Motherload Update

Another productive week for the XGenStudios team! Robyn has completed the upgrade graphics for Motherload and Skye is busy working on some of the newly added items.

In the latest development version all of the buildings have been implemented - which brings us to this weeks Motherload images. There will be four buildings in Motherload; the Fuel Station, Item/Repair Shop, Junk Store, and Mineral Processing Plant.

You can check them all out here!

Hey kids, Dave from XGen here again! Let me tell you, it is an exciting time to be a browser-gamer like myself!

Lately, I've been quite addicted not only to the games here on XGenStudios, such as the newest addition to the Family, Balloon Duel, But also a pair of non-flash Browser-Based games; Kingdom of Loathing, and Carnage Blender. Both of these are taking up a large part of the time I spend at my day job. But don't tell my boss!

Also, I'd like to welcome Danny to official XGen Team Member status. He's been helping us out, and his input was, and is, very important to us. So welcome aboard, Danny!

Work on Motherload is speeding along like some kind of bullet train, and the progress we're making is phenomenal. Just wait 'til you guys see some of the surprises the game has to offer!

I think that's it for today's episode, Kids. Be good 'til next time!

Motherload Update

Hello everyone! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the newest member of the XGen team. Much of my responsibility here revolves around giving you frequent updates on the progress of the XGenStudios team, and answering any questions you may have about the games on the XGen forums.

The XGenStudios team is working very hard on Motherload. The upgrades for the Pod have been implemented, additionally, physics bugs in the engine have been fixed. We are still play-testing daily to ensure that we release a full, bug-free game that will meet or beat everyone's expectations. It is still too early to say when the game will be released, but you will now see regular updates from myself every week to tell you about the status of our team and projects like Motherload. We will also be releasing a new screen shot every week along with a detailed descriptions. Stay tuned here at XGen every week for these updates.

The game will have over 30 upgrades that will help you take home the Motherload. Upgrading will be a key part of the game. Without them, you won't go far. The pictures here provide just a taste of these options.

More good flash animation out of the mind of Matt "Krinkels" Jolly: Madness Combat 4: Madness Apotheosis. Warning, scenes of graphic animated violence. And rave music.

I know there are some non-flash gamers in our vast readership, and I don't want you to think I'm ignoring you. Get all the news and previews for upcoming and current RPGs here, at RPGfan.

It's been a time of change, for The Xgen team, at least in terms of where we all live. We've all moved within the past few months, Skye and myself most recently (just these past two weeks). No, you can't have Skye's address and phone number, ladies.

Anyway, that's just a quick update from my side of the pond. More to come, stay tuned!
